Carolyn’s Natural Soap and Farm Life in Kansas,April 2010. Long Winter at the Reid Ranch. Brian faithfully milked 4 cows even in below 0 weather. The wind howled and the chickens huddled in their houses trying to keep warm. Thank God ,Spring has finally arrived. The Trees have blossoms of white and pink. The grass is green and the trees are getting their leaves. This is April 19th and Brian has planted 150lbs of potatoes and 300 + feet of Cattle Beans in one of the garden plots. The tomato plants I’ve started in the house are ready to be transplanted into larger containers along with all the varieties of cabbage, eggplant , many different types of peppers. Soap ! I cut and put on the drying racks 8 new batches. Adelaide Herbal soap is my newest and will help with summer skin problems. It has Oregano, Thyme , Rosemary, Lavender, and sage Essential oils and teas of these same herbs . The Laundry bar does a good job in the wash either as a dry power or liquid.
